Among the many services offered by JFS, are several therapeutic, psychoeducational, social skills, and support groups designed to help individuals and families cope with various life challenges.

Fall Group Schedule

Groups beginning in September & October

 

Queer Identity & Relationships within a Cultural Context: Support Group for LGBTQ+

Date: Wednesdays, September 26 – October 31

Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Cost: $40 for all six weeks (includes initial assessment).

Description: This psycho-educational support group will center around shared experiences and help participants develop healthy coping skills.

Making Meaning of Loss: a Therapeutic Group for those Experiencing Grief

Date: Wednesdays, September 26 – October 31

Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Cost: $40 for all six weeks (includes initial assessment).

Description: Participants will learn coping skills, receive supportive group counseling, and explore the process of making meaning of loss.

Girl Power

Date: Tuesdays, October 9 – November 13

Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Cost: $100 for all six weeks (includes initial assessment).

Description: Girl Power is a 6-week therapeutic group that promotes improved self-esteem, social skills, confidence, and stress reduction within girls ages 8-14.

Caregiver Support Group

Date: Thursdays, October 11 – November 15

Time: 4:30 PM – 6:00 PM

Cost: $40 for all six weeks (includes initial assessment).

Description: A group for family, friends, and caregivers to support, learn, and help each other take care of loved ones.
