Bringing everyone to the Seder table.
Each year, Jewish Family Service strives to make Passover accessible to everyone in our community through our Bruce Levy Memorial Passover Food Basket Distribution Program. Now in its 38th year, this program helps hundreds of families and older adults in our community celebrate Passover by hand-delivering traditional food and ritual items in Passover Food Baskets. Dozens of staff, board members, and volunteers of all ages come together to fill baskets by hand, then spread out making door-to-door deliveries across the region.
As proud members of our Jewish community, JFS has made it a priority to ensure that everyone has the ability to participate in this special holiday. We appreciate your support to bring everyone to the Seder table.
Who can get a basket?
There is no application process to receive a Passover food basket. Our program hopes to serve the financially needy and/or isolated members of our community. If you or someone you know is struggling to celebrate Passover this year, please reach out to Michelle Beard: 504-831-8475 Michelle@jfsneworleans.org

Donate
The Bruce Levy Memorial JFS Passover Food Basket Program is entirely funded by donations from generous people like you. It costs $100 to fill a Passover basket for two people. Contributions of any amount help bring everyone to the Seder table. Click here to donate, and select Passover Food Baskets as your campaign.
Volunteer
We are delivering baskets on: April 14th, 2024.
Volunteer to help deliver Passover food baskets. Typically, you will be asked to deliver 3-4 boxes in one zip code, and it should not take more than 1.5-2 hours. This is a wonderful project to include your children in! The recipients are so appreciative.
For more information, or to volunteer, please get in touch with Michelle Beard: 504-831-8475 or Michelle@jfsneworleans.org
