JFS believes mental health is a human right. We accept most major insurers (Aetna, United Healthcare, Blue Cross and Blue Shield, Blue Connect, Gilsbar, and Tricar), Medicare, Medicaid, and income-based payment.
Income-based payment is offered on a sliding-scale based on household income. These counseling services, with our master’s-level interns, range from $18-$120 per session. For eligibility, clients will need to provide pay stubs, tax returns, or other proof of income to be assessed on the sliding scale.
Our varied staff consider your individual needs and concerns when building a care plan with you. After completing the necessary paperwork, your initial therapy sessions will focus on information gathering as well as you and your therapist getting to know each other. Together, you and your therapist will identify your goals and create a treatment plan. Periodically, your therapist will check in with you to assess your goals and confirm that your work together is progressing to your satisfaction.
