Imagine living without the hope of finding help, simply because you can’t afford it.
Sadly, this is the case for many in the Greater New Orleans community. Vulnerable families and individuals are struggling with the financial inability to receive affordable compassionate care.
For over 70 years, Jewish Family Service of Greater New Orleans (JFS) has sought to close that gap, by using a sliding-fee scale for our counseling, case management, and senior service programs. The JFS sliding fee scale, based on income, ensures that everyone can receive care regardless of financial standing.
In 2018, JFS served over 5,200 clients in the Greater New Orleans area through:
- Counseling for individuals and families,
- Case Management
- Senior Care Planning Services
- Teen Life Counts- JFS teen suicide prevention training program
Not to mention, JFS serves everyone in the Greater New Orleans area regardless of race, religion, disability, gender or sexual orientation.
As a nonprofit, JFS cannot do this alone. Support from donors keeps our doors open and enhances our ability to help those in need.
When considering your end-of-year giving, know that any gift made to Jewish Family Service helps a struggling family cope with a loss, provides an aging senior security during an emergency, and gives a student the training on what to do when their friend is having suicidal thoughts.
JFS enhances the well-being of families and individuals during the most vulnerable time of their lives. Your donation today is what makes the difference tomorrow.
We hope you give the gift hope this holiday season.
